Chris Evans spoke about how Captain America 3 is involved with the upcoming Age of Ultron movie. In an interview with MTV News, he said:
"That's the beauty of the Marvel [Cinematic] Universe... It's this giant web of plot, where everything is connected to everything else whether it's 'Thor,' 'Iron Man' or 'Avengers,' everything is kind of involved."
As his six-picture contract playing 'Steve Rogers' coming to an end, many are left wondering where the story of Captain America will go. The actor has this to say:
"Don't take my job from me prematurel,y dude. I'm sure it'll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I'm really happy playing the character."
Screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have started talking about the Captain America 3 Movie, teasing what can be expected - and what not to expect in the upcoming flick.
A recent story that created a lot of buzz online was when Marvel Comics announced that Sam Wilson, AKA The Falcon, would be taking on the mantle of Captain America in a brand new comic series, which has left many people wondering if we might see the same thing in the movies.
When asked about if these changes would manifest in the film franchise, the writers had this to say, in an interview via SFX:
McFeely: We tend to stay on the sidelines when it comes to the comics. We wait and see what we'll steal from in three or four years from now! [laughs].
Marcus: I think the movies can accommodate almost anything, if there's a need. I think there is a much greater need to shake things up in the comics because that's a narrative that's been going on for 60 or 70 years, so you're going to wind up having to do things to it. Ours has only been off the ground for five or so. So it's not quite time to start changing things up yet. Plus I can't figure out how he's going to have the wings and the shield at the same time. Isn't it going to get all crammed up on the wing? I don't know... When those things happen in the comics you also have a tendency, perhaps cynically, to go "Yeah, but he's going to be Steve Rogers in two months..." He's going to wake up out of cryo-stasis or whatever it is and it's going to be like "Oh, I need the shield back". [laughs].
The directors Joe and Anthony Russo spoke with Crave Online, revealing that Captain America 3 is a "very, very big idea" adding that the twist in part 3 "alters the universe as a whole in some way,"
"We'd like to announce the title soon," said Joe. "If you've been talking to Kevin [Feige, head of Marvel Studios] the title has been in place probably for ten years in his brain. It's all part of the road map that he's laid out, and it's all part of the bigger plan."
