In a recent Mike Tyson interview, the boxer seemed to lose his temper when his past criminal record was brought up.
The former heavyweight boxing champion called Toronto's CP 24 reporter Nathan Downer "a piece of sh**" during an live interview on Tuesday after the latter recounted the boxer's rape conviction.
The reporter asked if Tyson's criminal record could damage the reputation of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, E! News reported.
Downer was referencing to boxer's meeting with the mayor on Tuesday. The scandal-plagued mayor is seeking a re-election in October, according to Global News.
According to The Sidney Morning Herald, the mayor was embroiled in a substance abuse scandal in 2013. He also admitted to smoking cocaine.
E! News also reported that at first Tyson was calmed, but his mood changed when Downer brought up the issue.
Global News reported that Tyson responded to the question by swearing repeatedly at the reporter. He even called Downer a "piece of sh**."
"You're being negative," he told Downer. "You're really a piece of s--t. F--k you!"
Downer, on the other hand, reminded Tyson that they were airing live on television, but Tyson did not seem to care.
Tyson replied, "I don't care. What are you going to do about it?" according to Global News.
Although the Mike Tyson interview got nasty, Downer tried to control it by asking about the former boxer's show "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth", which he should have been promoting at the interview.
Global News added that when the reporter asked "if performing on stage or boxing was more nerve-racking, Tyson answered that it was more nerve-racking talking to a "rat piece of sh** like you [Downer]."
Downer then ended the interview and politely expressed his gratitude for the opportunity of having the boxer. But Tyson was heard on the background saying, "F*** you" as the show took a break, according to The Sidney Morning Herald.
Later, Downer posted on his Twitter account: "I'm okay everybody. Unfortunately my question hurt Mike Tyson's feelings. That was not my intentions. My apologies for the language."
In another post, he said: "No ill will toward Mike Tyson. He lashed out at me and that's okay. Not taking it personally."
