George Clooney and fiancee Amal Alamuddin revealed the venue of his wedding.
The 53-year-old Ocean's Eleven actor and his fiancé 36-year-old Amal Alamuddin had their first red carpet appearance at Celebrity Fight Night to support Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson held in Tuscany's Palazzo Vecchio.
He gushed about his fiancé while delivering his speech. After he received the Andrea Bocelli Humanitarian Award at the gala.
He shared at the gala quoted from People magazine, "I've met my bride-to-be in Italy and I will be married in Italy soon, in a couple of weeks. In Venice of all places! In closing, I guess what I would like to say is to my bride-to-be, Amal, that I love you very much and I can't wait to be your husband."
A guest told E! News, "She seemed so touched and overwhelmed and at that moment they looked right at each other and it was as if there was no one else in the room."
There were reports that they wil tie the knot on September 26th. But the according to the actor's publicist, "He did not give a specific date. "I can only confirm that he is getting married in Venice,"
The couple had already acquired British marriage license after posting the legal notice and declared their intention to marry abroad last month.
A report from DailyMail the humanitarian lawyer was seen at Alexander McQueen's accompanied by her mother. It was reported that she spent an hour and a half inside the office. George Clooney preferred to wear a Giorgio Armani suit.
Clooney and Alamuddin had seen publically in October 2013.
Clooney popped the question to his then girlfriend last April who was with Doughty Street Chambers law office.
The office showed their support and wished the couple well.
"The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married," the office said.
George Clooney's first marriage was with Talia Balsam.
