Finally the list of MTV EMA 2014 nominees has been officially announced for all categories across continents! Excited fans Tweet in their votes for the final nominee slots.
The 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards coming this November 9 will be held at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Established in 1994, the annual awards is held to celebrate the most influential musicians and the music they bring to Europe.
To date, MTV EMA 2014 nominees have been announced although not completing the roster. The fifth nominee will be chosen via the power of social media as fans will be asked to vote for their favorite artists and help them be nominated in their respective categories.
Fans will need to use hashtags and vote via Twitter from September 9 to 14. The fifth nominees for Best US, Canada and UK Acts will be announced in September 16.
To date, the nominees for the major categories have been announced. Best US Act includes artists Beyonce, Eminem, Katy Perry and Pharell Williams. Fans get to vote for the fifth nominee who will then go head to head with these four huge artists. The contenders to the Best US Act include Trey Songz, Austin Mahone, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande and Fifth Harmony.
For the Best Canada Act category, the official nominees include Justin Bieber, Arcade Fire, Kiesza and Drake. Fans get to choose their fifth nominee from the list of Hedley, The Weeknd, Tegan and Sara, and Avril Lavigne.
The four MTV EMA 2014 nominees for the Best UK and Ireland Act include Calvin Harrie, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and One Direction (1D). The social media will then get to decide whether Coldplay, Clean Bandit, Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini or The Vamps get to join the roster as the 5th official Best UK and Ireland Act nominee.
Full MTV EMA 2014 nominess will be completed by September 16 and will be broadcasted live on November 9, 2014.
