Brace yourself for the new Apple product that will be released sometime in early 2015!
Apple unveiled its latest creation recently: the Apple Watch. This is the company's first ever smartwatch, which has been expected since 2012. Apple's CEO Tim Cook showcased some features during the company's event yesterday.
The Apple Watch has many features. To start off, it has animated emojis where you can customize facial expressions of emojis by touching the parts of its face. You can widen the emoji's smile by touching its mouth or even raise the emoji's eyebrow by tapping them. The device can also allow you to send someone your heartbeat. You can also share recordings, sketches, and tap signals to other users.
It will also support Apple Pay where you can use your smart watch as a tool to pay for your shopping. Some companies that will accept Apple Pay are McDonald's and Macy's. In the keynote yesterday, the Cupertino manufacturer is on its way to getting on board more companies to accept Apple Pay.
In terms of design, the Apple Watch will have three different styles - the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch Edition. All three styles will come in both 38mm and 42mm measurements for the face of the watch. You can also customize the watch by changing the straps as Apple will also offer different color options.
One thing to note - you have to have an iPhone to be able to use the Apple watch. It is meant to use in conjunction with your iPhone.
The Apple Watch will be unveiled together with the new iPhone 6 but is also compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
Retail price will start at US349 which is the higher end of the curb compared to Samsung's Galaxy Gear and Pebble smartwatch, retailed at USD 299 and USD 150 respectively.
