The main star in the movie Lucy, Scarlett Johansson is now a mom! Just last week, the actress and her fiancé Romain Dauriac welcomed a healthy baby girl who they named Rose.
Ever since the second Avengers franchise, people have been speculating that the 29-year old actress was pregnant but Johansson did a good job concealing her midsection. June of this year, she started wearing fitted clothes with a very evident baby bump and a month after that, she strolled the New York city streets wearing a bright red top that highlighted her figure.
In an interview on Good Morning America she said, “I would like to have my own family – that would be nice. They say it's never the right time, and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else,” the actress revealed “At some point it is something I look forward to,” she continued. “I am fortunate in that I have had a long career—20 years—that has been very diverse. So, you know, picking a time to plan a family feels like something that I could do and not feel as though I was missing out.”
Scarlett’s co-star in the Avengers movie, Robert Downey Jr. says that Scarlett will be a great mother. “I think she's going to be a great mom. Boy, oh boy! I can't believe that she was so preggers during Avengers too. Now she finally had the baby so she'll remember those as the good ole days.”
Johansson and French journalist fiancé confirmed their engagement last September 2013 after being together for nine months – the actress showed off her Art Deco ring at the Venice International Film Festival. According to the actress’ rep, Johansson and Rose are doing well and would like to keep their family life private as of now that is why she and her future husband Dauriac are most likely to stay clear of the U.S or Paris.
“I've been thinking lately it's good to move to like some faraway country where you can ski,” she quipped when asked about her future living plans. “I was thinking maybe it would be nice to move to Switzerland. Fresh air and it's idyllic and they have fondue.”
