A huge celebrity photo leak 2014 made headlines upon the first few moments of the photos posting. Known celebrities of almost 200 photos were shared online and although sites were taken down, the photos are forever going to public knowledge.

The birth of the Internet has made everything accessible and easy. For everyday lives, it has contributed greatly to keeping daily tasks accomplished especially for paying bills, buying stuff and reading the news. However, this great power of course comes with great responsibility.

For decades since the Internet became available to every single home world wide, followed by the rise of the camera-ready phones, it was inevitable that people would do senseless and irrational ideas with the technologies they had on hand. But, it was okay because it's a freedom. However, when that freedom is let loose on the wrong hands, it's trouble. Much like the celebrity photo leak 2014.

In the last day of August 2014, a mass hacker was able to get access to Apple's iCloud services of famous personalities - mostly females. A celebrity photo leak of almost 200 photos of these stars were collected, and were released on the hour initially on 4chan. Users of other sites such as Reddit, Tumblr and Imgur posted copies of the photo in their site.

A total of 101 alleged victims of the celebrity photo leak 2014 were denied their right to privacy as culprits posted nude and racy photos, mostly taken by the women themselves. Although hackers claimed to have videos as well, the posting was stopped soon after a couple of photos where set out.

Among the victims of the celebrity photo leak 2014 include Avril Lavigne, Amber Heard, Cara Delevigne, Gabrielle Union, Hayden Panettiere, Hilary Duff, Jenny McCarthy, Kaley Cuoco, Kate Bosworth, Kim West, Kirsten Dunst, Lea Michele, Mary-Kaye Olsen, Winona Rider, and Dave Franco (yes, apparently one male).

Although some victims insisted the photos are fake, most still filed legal action, banning the photos from ever resurfacing online.
