Ray Rice controversial video news has taken over several sports website. Many have voiced out their opinion regarding the domestic violence that the Baltimore Ravens running back committed against his wife back in February of this year. On September 8, TMZ released a more detailed video of showing Rice punching Palmer. This prompted Baltimore Ravens to suspend their star player. Not too long after, the NFL decided to suspend Rice indefinitely.
Janay Palmer seems to have gotten the sympathy that she needs after the physical abuse. However, for her, she's getting the exact opposite. Palmer finally decided to break her silence through an instagram post. This is the first time that she spoke about the Ray Rice news after stating in February that she also played a huge part on the domestic violence.
"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that hte media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.
"THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"
The Ray Rice news has taken the world by storm and it will surely get uglier in the coming days. ESPN host Keith Olbermann believes that the NFL, including commissioner Roger Gooddell did some cover up on the Ray Rice domestic violence incident. He is calling out those people involved to resign.
"We begin tonight with the unavoidable and simple truth that intentionally, or by neglect, the Atlantic County, New Jersey, District Attorney's Office, the Baltimore Ravens, the National Football League, and commissioner Roger Goodell have conducted a cover-up of Ray Rice's assault on his then fiancée on February 15th," he said on Monday's ESPN2 program.
"There is no other conclusion possible. Each body, each leading individual involved came to a judicial conclusion about what had happened to Janay Palmer and what should happen to Ray Rice. And each, through deception or incompetence, misled the public, damaged the efforts of every man and every woman in this country seeking to merely slow down the murderous epidemic of domestic violence, and made a mockery of the process by which those who batter those they claim to love are to be brought to justice."
