| By

Hong Kong Police said they are investigating a man behind the dog 'cleaned' inside a washing machine as his "super quick way to bathe a doggy."

This alleged animal cruelty that was posted online has solicited outrage and anger from those who have seen the photos.

In a Facebook photo, the man who called himself Jacky Lo, shows a small, white dog attempting to climb his way out of the washing machine. The dog is seen struggling so as not to be submerged in the water while the washing machine is fully cycling, AFP News reported.

The photo was captioned in Chinese: "A super quick way to wash a dog: soak, clean, and dry. All done. Clean and quick!" And it was followed by a smiley icon and the words "feeling content" written in the English language, according to Hong Kong edition of South China Morning Post.

SCMP also said in its report that Lo claimed to have fled to the mainland China. He posted a status bragging that he's on his way to China as many people want him to be punished for what he has done to the dog cleaned in washing machine.

In the post, he said: "Wanted?? This afternoon I'm going back to China. See ya later." The post is reportedly having a link to the online petition, which now has signed by 14,000 people. The petition urges the Hong Kong police that Lo be punished, according to SCMP.

Reports say that it is still not known whether the Facebook user's identity is real. There are also no confirmed reports whether the dog cleaned in washing machine has survived.

One Facebook user asked if the dog was already dead, which Lo answered: "Yes! Do you want to see it!"

According to AFP News, under Hong Kong law, offenses regarding animal cruelty have a maximum sentence of three years imprisonment and a fine of HK$200,000 ($25,800).
