New Anderson Silva news says he is ready to make his comeback after the gruesome leg injury in late 2013.
The Brazilian legend is now in training in preparation for his bout against Nick Diaz, which is scheduled in February next year, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Based on the media outlet report, doctors of the UFC fighter said he's physically stronger, but admitted earlier this summer that Silva is still scared to use his injured leg.
In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Silva is not in pain anymore but is lacking the confidence to kick as he used to do before the injury.
"I feel no pain at all. My strength is back because I'm back to training. The hardest part is self-confidence, to kick again as I used to," said Silva.
The legend also acknowledged that he still feels the fear and refused to suffer that incident again. "Fear is natural...I don't want to feel that pain ever again. No way," he said.
He also said that he sought the help of psychologist regarding the lingering ghosts of his past fight. "I've worked with a psychologist so I can get rid of the ghosts of those horrible moments of that fight, when I had that accident. I'm a little apprehensive in training. I know I can execute the movement, but I end up not doing it for fear."
In December 2013 when he was fighting Chris Weidman, Silva broke his leg in half. He underwent surgery to repair his broken left leg, which was a success.
Anderson Silva news also mentioned that even the legend is living with his family in Los Angeles, he chose Brazil as his training ground for his fight against Diaz.
According to him, "I feel better training in Brazil. And, so I can be at my 100 percent to return to fighting, I'd rather train in Brazil," he explained.
