Grand Theft Auto games have garnered fans from all over the world since its debut in the late 1990s. To date, there have been multiple releases for various platforms and fans anticipate "GTA 6" release date more than ever.
Rockstar North developer has continued to create Grand Theft Auto sequels since 1997. Initially released for Microsoft Windows and the Playstation, the game has evolved to accommodate various consoles.
GTA franchise storylines lie on achieving a set number of goal points in each level of the main cities. To gain points, player must perform tasks around the city and accomplish missions.
Although the game received mixed reviews, questioning the "freedom" of the gameplay that seems to encourage violence according to some critics, GTA franchise continued on as a bestseller in the UK. Thus, allowing for the creation of another sequel, making possible the "GTA 6" release date to come earlier.
In a recent interview of Rockstar President Leslie Benzies according to Breathecast.com, Benzies shares about "GTA 6" release date: "We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas."
That being said, "GTA 6" release date is quite unclear. Some reports have set "GTA 6" release date for July 2017. Other reports show that "GTA 6" release date comes earlier, specifically October 2015.
While "GTA 6" release date has yet to be confirmed by Rockstar, the makers have released other essential information on the game.
Benzies revealed the possible setting - location and time - as he says in the same interview: "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas. In that context re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting."
Aside from "GTA 6" release date information, creators also made mention of the possibility of introducing a female protagonist to the game.
