New George Clooney news unveils bits of information about his impending big day. The location of the wedding is in Venice, Italy and is happening within weeks.
People reported Clooney saying in his acceptance speech at Sunday's Celebrity Fight Night in Tuscany, Italy: "I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places."
Clooney was a guest of honor in this event and with him was his fiancée Amal Alamuddin.
People said on its website that throughout the night, Clooney was focused on his bride-to-be that he kept putting his arm around her shoulder and carefully brushing back her flowing locks that flew away.
Earlier this summer there were rumors circulating that the wedding would take place in Venice.
Reports also suggested that Alamuddin, a British lawyer, filed official wedding paperwork in London.
According to New York Daily News, during a visit to London's Registry Office, Alamuddin has reportedly given formal notice of her intention to marry. This is a requirement for all British citizens who want to marry abroad.
A source told E! News: "He said he is an honorary 12-year resident of Italy and then said they were getting married in Venice. He also said to Amal [from the podium], 'I love you very much.'"
Sources of E! News said that Clooney had revealed the wedding will take place in a couple of weeks.
There are also reports stating that Alamuddin was spotted visiting a high-profile designer of wedding dress in London.
According to E! News, there are speculations that the bride-to-be is going to wear an Alexander McQueen wedding dress. Reports said Alamuddin and her mother Barria spent hours on Thursday at the fashion house's London headquarters.
A week ago, George Clooney news said the actor reportedly traveled to Germany to get his back injury checked due to the injury he sustained while filming "Syriana" in 2004.
