‘Tekken 7’ PS4 Release Date Forecasted; Production In The Works With Improved Visuals And Gaming Experience For The Sequel Powered By Unreal Engine 4

On its 20th year anniversary, Namco Bandai Games announces that "Tekken 7" PS4 release date will soon be coming to gamers world wide.

The Japanese fighting game was first released in 1994 by creator and publisher Namco. With a storyline focusing on the King of Iron Fist Tournament and the contestants in the competition, players are engaged as both characters and story become appealing, adding to the gaming experience. The tournament is hosted by the Mishima family.

Game ratings for "Tekken" franchise games have been consistently on a high 80% according to GameRankings.com. Complex ranked the video game 11th on the best video game franchises in 2012: "Just when we thought that the 'Street Fighter' franchise was going to the epitome of fighting games, 'Tekken' came to make it share its portion of the knuckle-busting pie. 'Tekken has cult-like fans who live and breathe the moves and storylines."

Apart from the successful games created, Tekken has also been developed into three movies: Animations "Tekken: The Motion Picture" in 1998 and "Tekken: Blood Vengeance" in 2011; and the live action movie "Tekken" in 2009.

During the 2014 EVO fighting game tournament, Bandai Namco Games stated that a PS4 version of the game is on the works however not confirming "Tekken 7" PS4 release date. They have also shared that Unreal Engine 4 will power the newest release.

Producer and director of "Tekken 7" Katushiro Harada explains, "With Unreal Engine 4, we could rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platform and go beyond it. Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to immediately bring 'Tekken 7' to any platform we desire."

With the 20th anniversary of Tekken this year, fans have been clamoring for the release of the latest installment. However, although there has been no known official report, "Tekken 7" PS4 release date has been speculated to be by the end of 2015.
