The Sports Illustrated model faced the crowd with a smile as she made her first red carpet appearance last September 6, 2014 at the Park Hyatt in New York City for The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards.
Upton mesmerized the audience with her white Emilio Pucci dress and silver Casadei shoes that matched perfectly with her Bulgari jewelry.
The 22-year old model along with fellow celebrities Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Kayley Couco, Selena Gomez and Lea Michele shared the spotlight last week after their nude images were leaked online because of their iCloud accounts being hacked.
According to an article from Time, a host of iCloud accounts were targeted and hacked last week, with private photographs of celebrities being leaked and posted online. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO has stated that they plan to strengthen the security of its iCloud services to avoid another occurence such as this.
Cook told The Wall Street Journal in his first interview ever since the scandal went public, that they will make certain changes to prevent this from happening again. “Users will now be notified via email whenever someone tries to restore iCloud data to a new device, in addition to notifications when an account password is changed or an unknown device is used to log into an account” he said.
Upton’s lawyer, Lawrence Shire was firm with his statement, “This is obviously an outrageous violation of our client Kate Upton's privacy, We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible.”
