Late in August, Samsung confirmed the Samsung Gear Solo release date set for October 2014. According to the official release found in samsungmobilepress.com, the device is officially named "Samsung Gear S". It is "the next generation smart wearable device that expands the smartphone experience to the wrist."

The Samsung Gear S redefines the idea of the smart wearable and the culture of mobile communication. It will let consumers live a truly connected life anywhere, anytime."
By the Samsung Gear Solo release date in October, consumers will be able to experience a super AMOLED display that ensures full display and "easy-to-use user interface", according to the report. Having the device on the wrist allows the user easy access to messages and notifications. It comes in two colors, blue black and white.
Other specs of the smartwatch includes dual core 1.0 GHz; with a Tizen based wearable platform OS; allows 2G, 3G, and Bluetooth calls; contains S Health and Nike+ Running programs; and other information, media features like schedule applications and a music player.
