Following the news of the massive celebrity hacking that took place on August 31, the Nickelodeon star changes her statements concerning the Victoria Justice leaked photos. The actress first claimed that the leaked images of her were fake, posting a message on Twitter: These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*."
Now the 21-year-old star has joined other celebrities in taking legal action to protect their privacy. Justice, recently made a statement(via US Magazine):
Shortly after I tweeted about certain pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy," said the actress.
"There have always been fake photos of me on the Internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake. I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside of me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights."
An anonymous hacker posted leaked photos of Hunger Games' Jennifer Lawrence and Victoria Justice on a message board in website 4chan. The photos quickly spread to other websites such as Imgur and PerezHilton.com, which depicts the said actresses in various states of undress.
The hacker has also leaked photos of Yvonne Strahovski of TV series Chuck, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and has targeted dozens of other celebrities including Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton and Australian actress Teresa Palmer.
Mary Winsted confirmed her leaked images via her Twitter:
Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked," she said.
"You know what's better then leaked nudes? Earning the trust and respect of another human to the point that they share their body with you."
