The hype is on for the biggest and grandest popular culture convention in the US with the New York Comic Con 2014 tickets continuously sold online and in selected shops.

Dubbed by CNN as "a force to be reckoned with", the New York Comic Convention 2014 will run from October 9 to 12 at the Javits Center, New York. Per tradition, the convention aims to please the dedicated fans of comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television shows as it also helps promote enterprises in the entertainment industry. Since its first mounting in 2006, the event has gathered a mixed attendance of artists, singers, wrestlers, celebrities, exhibitors, toy makers, etc, and the fans reaching more than 100,000.

For this year, stars of the hit show, Elementary, topbilled by Ophelia Lovibond, Lucy Liu, and Johnny Miller have promised to grace the event. So are Billy Zabka (The Karate Kid), Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof (Tomorrowland), Michael Shannon and Nicholas Hoult (The Young Ones) and many others. A panel event featuring Stan Lee and Yoshiki's 'Blood Red Dragon will also he conducted. Check out the website https://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/ regularly for the lists of events, celebrity names, and exhibitors featured and their respective posts during the four-day event, as well as other updates.

It's true what CNN said. As a force, the NYCC website is a good leverage for marketing movies, shows, and products not related to convention to attract the public. Japan's XMSG show (The Biggest Rockers In Asia) at the Madison Square Garden is advertised there, Chevrolet 2014 Corvette Stingray, as well as Hugh Jackman's "The River" on Broadway.

Which leads to what the New York Comic-Con is for -- a for profit event benefitting both the organizers, businesses and consumers.

The New York Comic Con 2014 is organized by ReedPOP, a division of Reeds Exhibition and Reeds Elsevier.
