Blackberry Passport will be launched on September 24 in three world's major key cities.
Blackberry already sent out invitations for its launch of its new flagship phone the Blackberry Passport.
According to its blog, "On September 24, all eyes will be on BlackBerry as we host exclusive, invite-only events in Toronto, London and Dubai to show off... well I guess you'll have to wait and see. The Inside BlackBerry team will be there, along with an exclusive list of media and industry guests, to bring you all the action."
This is a smart strategy of the company not to launch the smartphone in the US. Blackberry will struggle to market its new flagship phone in the US since it has been Apple and Android dominated especially its major cities like New York.
"In September, we will host an event to showcase our device portfolio for the [fiscal year 2015]. We're launching a brand- new device called Passport in September in London. Most of the information has been leaked to website, so you guys should go ahead and check that out. This will follow by the Classic coming out in November."
The new Blackberry Passport's design has been officially announced that it will sport a 4.5-inch 1440x1440 pixel resolution display with a pixel density of 453ppi.
Other leaked specifications of the device include a 2.2GHz quad- core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974- AA) processor; an Adreno 330 GPU; 3GB of RAM; 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB); a 13- megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor; a 2-megapixel front camera, and a 3450mAh battery.
The BlackBerry Passport is reported to measure 128x90.3x9.3mm, and weigh 194.4 grams. The smartphone is likely to support Nano-SIM while supporting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, NFC, GPS, Glonass, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G LTE connectivity options.
Reports also say that the smartphone is suitable for professional like medical doctor as the Blackberry Passport offers a clear and crisp image.
The blog says, "The BlackBerry Passport is purpose built with these situations in mind and more. With an innovative touch- enabled keyboard that allows you to communicate clearly and precisely, a battery large enough to power through your day, and the apps to get serious work done - the Passport is built for professionals like you and me."
Blackberry Passport's launch has been overly advertised and excites the Blackberry fans what it has to offer.
