The Asus ZenWatch is the freshest assition to the list of Android Wear-powered smartwatches out now in the market.

In partnership with Google, Asus unveiled its first wearable gadget on Wednesday at the IFA event in Berlin. The Asus ZenWatch being a smartwatch is more than just telling time because it is packed with a lot more features and functionality.

Display

According to Asus, this watch is exquisitely crafted with premium materials and has sophisticated design that is enhanced by rose gold color layering.

Adding to its sophistication is the genuine stitched leather watchband.

The Curve-shaped Asus ZenWatch has quick-release clasp design and an over 100 combination watch faces that is expected to fit your personality and mood of the day, says Asus on its website.

This smartwatch is coupled with 1.63-inch, 320 x 320 AMOLED display and with top Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Hardware

In terms of hardware, the Asus ZenWatch has 12 MB of RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB, coupled with 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC.

It also has a 1.4 Wh battery and a built-in microphone, according to Engadget.

Functionality

When partnered with a smartphone, the Asus ZenWatch can automatically unlock it. Also, according to Asus, particular apps could help you locate your misplaced phone instantly. An incoming call is easily muted by covering your watch with your hand!

This Android Wear-powered smartwatch is integrated with the Asus ZenUI for enhanced functionality. Aside from its Remote Camera that lets you take photos creatively at different angles, the Asus ZenWatch can also be used as a remote control, as well as time manager, when you are giving business presentations and lectures.

The Asus ZenWatch would be a friend to many health-conscious users because of its "wellness manager" features. It can monitor and track a range of health-related statistics using its Asus Wellness app.

When you are having your workout, the Asus ZenWatch could actually help you measure the calories you are burning, as well as the duration of the activity and the intensity of your exercise.
