Constantine is set to meet an interesting character that can either spoil or help him in his quest for justice against dark forces. A new Constantine NBC Series Spoiler from IGN has confirmed that Jim Corrigan, one of the renowned characters in the DC world, will join the show in a recurring role and he will be played by Emmett J. Scanlan who is known for his roles in BBC's Atlantis and the Fall. News of Scanlan joining the upcoming NBC series was first broke by IGN.
The news site wrote:
"Well, now we can report that Jim Corrigan -- the character who later becomes The Spectre in the comics -- has been cast.
Irish actor Emmett Scanlan (In the Flesh, The Fall, Guardians of the Galaxy) will play Corrigan, and will appear on Constantine as a recurring guest star.
On Constantine, Corrigan will be a homicide detective in New Orleans who is plunged into Constantine's world of occult horrors. Furthermore, Corrigan is someone who is obsessed with justice, and who doesn't let police procedure or red tape stop him from putting away the bad guys, even if the bad guys turn out to be inhuman."
This new Constantine NBC Series Spoiler casts doubts on how the enigmatic and irreverent Constantine will work with Jim Corrigan behind his back. Spectre is a superhero who has appeared in numerous comic books. He once graced the More Fun Comics as a deceased cop acting as host to the cosmic entity the Spectre. Spectre's Corrigan is also notable for his appearance in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen as an African-American policeman. Jim Corrigan also appeared in issue 12 of Gotham Central, a series that focuses around the Gotham City Police Department.
Jim Corrigan is one of the most mysterious characters in the universe and hopefully in the next Constantine NBC Series Spoiler, we will get to know more about him.
