Betty White Dead: Comedian Falls Under Death Hoax! Find Out What Started The Hoax And What It's Really About

| By

Speculations of Betty White's death have been surfacing in the past couple of days

A satirical article on Empire News sparked rumors that the 92-year old comedian has met death when they posted with the headline, "Actress Betty White, 92, Dyes Peacefully In Her Los Angeles Home," not realizing the wordplay the website used. Dyes referring to hair color, not death.

Obviously, readers did not bother to click and read the article itself where it was featured an interview with the funny woman's agent and focused on the fact that the comedian is not a natural blonde, as well as quotes from Betty herself, telling stories about her transformation from brunette to blonde.

In the article, According to White, "Oh, I started dying it ages ago when my color started to fade away to a more whiteish, greyish color, I thought to myself, 'Well Betty, if you can't have the dark color anymore, might as well try on the blonde for a while,' and it just kind of stuck. When I played Rose on Girls, the joke about my natural hair color made it into several episodes. I've always had a sense of humor about it."

Betty White's agent, Jeff Witias has assured the public that the comedian is definitely not dead, infact, is very much well and kicking. He said, "She is on the set shooting Hot in Cleveland right now."

While it was a sudden "death" supposedly, fans were very much relieved to know that Betty is still alive and they clearly thought wrong about the article headline they saw. Losing two loved comedians in one day would be too much to handle.

It was reported in another article that another comedian, Joan Rivers, died yesterday of complications during a throat surgery, and sad to say, that that news was not a death hoax.
