Samsung Gear S Design, Features and Specs: 'The Bigger The Better' An Innovation of Smartwatches In Size, Check Out It Design, Features and Specs here

| By

Samsung Gear S was launch at IFA as Samsung's newest wearable device.

Samsung has already introduced a number of smartwatches the Samsung Gear, Gear 2, Gear Fit, Gear 2 Neo, Gear Live and the latest Gear S.

The Samsung Gear S design doesn't seem to be appealing to the eye. Its big and clunky compared to other smartwatches. Its big wrist band that supposed to curl on the wrist looks more likely of a handcuff, and it gives an impression of literally wearing a laptop or a phablet. But its curved screen offers a better view angle.

This wearable device boasts a 2.0 inch curved screen with AMOLED display and 260×480 resolution.

It also features Samsung newest trademark app heart beat sensor. Other useful apps include GPS sensor, an accelerometer, gyroscope, UV detector, barometer and a 410mAh battery that the company claims will last two days. It offers a 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. It's all powered by a dual- core 1.0 GHz processor and Tizen, Samsung's own mobile operating system.

Users can receive text messages, read and check emails, get directions, and make calls at the new Samsung Gear S..

Its 2.0inch display also offers a qwerty keyboard, but it will take some time to get used of typing in its small screen.

According to reports during the IFA, display units that are in demo mode already experienced problems like unresponsive screens and crashing apps. The release date is a month away and Samsung still needs to improve this device before it hits the market. The Samsung Gear S will be first available in Korea on October and release date to other regions is still unknown. There are no official announcements on the prices, but with its 3g connectivity we may expect this device might be a bit pricey.
