Nice Guys Movie Release Date: Maybe, announcing the showing date of Ryan Gosling-Russell Crowe movie two years ahead of its official release makes sense to the psyche of the duo's millions of fans all over the world. Or, it is a scheme or strategy to drumbeat the movie during its filming stage to keep the interest of the moviegoers. For all it's worth, the movie Nice Guys starring the two hunk stars is a film to watch out for release date on June 17, 2016 in US cinemas.
In trying to find the logic of Warner Brothers' too early announcement, this writer came to realize that the movie, though committing the presence of two bankable stars, is actually about the adept hand and mind of Shane Black, the helmsman and one of the scriptwriters of the movie.
Using the words of Sandy Schaefer of screenrant.com, "Shane Black has a finger in several pies right now, including a movie adaptation of the Doc Salvage, a new installment in the Predator franchise, and a film based on Warner Murphy and Richard Sapir's Destroyer paperback novels."
Black contributes to the screenplay of Nice Guy, along with Anthony Bagarozzi. The project, done many years ago, was staged live through script reading in 2011 during the Austin Film Festival.
The movie, to be set in the 1970s in Los Angeles, is about the collaboration of two persons, one a rehabilitated alcoholic and the other a private detective. They are to probe on the suicide of a porn star. The plot was made more interesting when the porn star was reportedly seen alive and well after the supposed suicide.
Quoting the statement of Joel Silver, producer of Nice Guys, at https://goslingfan.com/, he said, "Ever since we did 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,' I've been eager to work with Shane again, and with this film we made it happen." Silver added that the combination of "Shane's great cinematic voice and Russell and Ryan on board, I know we're in for another wild ride."
