QuickChek tops the survey of which convenience store in the US serves the best coffee.
Voted #1 in both Overall Beverage Quality and Food Quality, the privately owned New Jersey company is one of the twenty largest convenience store chains in the U.S. that offer food service.
In the survey Consumer Brand Metrics: Convenience Stores conducted by Technomic Inc., a food industry research company, the respondents were asked brand-specific questions on the 22 convenience stores they recently visited. They were also asked to rate up to 500 attributes of each brand. There 2,413 respondents across the United States.
The New Jersey-based store was rated first both in Overall Beverage Quality (coffee) and Food Quality with 96% and 94% rating, respectively. The company aims for customer satisfaction with their outstanding fresh coffee and fresh food program, making them one of the leaders in the industry.
Dean Durling, QuickChek's chief of executive, said in a press release that they're committed to deliver what the customer wants. "We refer to this as 'total customer dedication' and it's an honor to be recognized for the principles in which we have built this company. We are driven to define the term 'fresh convenience' - fresh food, fresh coffee, fast fuel and friendly people," said Durling.
The four other stores in the top five of Overall Beverage Quality are Wawa, RaceTrac, Kwik Trip, and A Plus Convenience Stores. QuickChek also ranks in the top five of three other categories: Food Taste and Flavor, Convenient Location, and Pleasant, Friendly Service.
QuickChek operates in New Jersey and New York's Hudson Valley with over 138 retail locations. Some stores include a pharmacy, gas station and liquor department. The stores vary from large convenience stores to corner-type kiosks. In both states of New Jersey and New York, the chain is named to be one of the Best Places to Work for.
