Carrie Underwood is set to be a Mom!
The country singer and her husband Mike Fisher are expecting a baby, sources say.
This news has been confirmed by the couple themselves, as they took to their social media sites Twitter and Instagram to announce it during Labor Day.
Carrie posted a photo of herself with their two dogs. One wearing a shirt that says, "I'm going to be a big brother," and another one saying "I'm going to be a big sister." She posted the photo with the caption: "In honor of 'Labor' Day ... Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!"
Carries husband, NHL's Nashville Predators' Center player Mike Fisher, also took to his Twitter account to announce the good news. He wrote: "We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher,"
However, their announcement left a few fans confused as to whether the couple is indeed expecting a baby, or just getting a new dog, confusion that Mike later cleared up by confirming that it is a baby they're expecting, but quickly added: "but maybe another dog too."
The couple who were married in 2010, are known to be very religious and very close to God. In a previous interview with People in 2010, Underwood said that her husband has helped solidify her relationship with God. She mentioned: "Mike has improved my walk with God, It's important to me, because down the road, I want someone who will help shape our kids into people who make the world a better place."
Now that Carrie's pregnant, the couple can have the chance to apply their faith and put it into action as they both welcome a new person in the world. Their baby is due to come out in the spring of 2015, and the couple cannot be more excited about it.
Rumors of the name of their child is already brewing, but until they actually announce what they picked will be their baby's name, let us allow Carrie and Mike to revel in the fact that they will soon be a family.
