George Clooney News: Actor Goes To Germany To Seek Medical Help For Back Injury, Says Source; Has Been Suffering For 10 Years After Filming ‘Syriana’ In 2004

New George Clooney news reveal that he's seeking medical attention aborad.

His movie "Syriana" was filmed in 2004, but the movie has taken its toll on him for almost 10 years now. In a torture scene of the film, 53-year-old Clooney hurt his back, which was the cause of his current suffering.

The actor traveled to Duke University earlier in August and then to a hospital in Germany on Friday to get his back injury looked at, E! News reported. Clooney is said to be still feeling the effects of his on-set injury.

A source of E! News confirmed that "George arrived at the clinic Friday morning and had a series of tests with the clinic's top neurosurgeon-Dr. Ralf Buhl. Buhl specializes in non-invasive methods, which lessen the need for surgery."

Recent George Clooney news added that the actor arrived at the clinic at morning and stayed for eight hours. His injury caused spinal cord problems and really horrendously bad ongoing headaches.

Another source told E! News that the actor is still not pain-free to this day and has to take pain tablets for ongoing migraines.

Speaking to Rolling Stone in 2011, Clooney said that the back injury he sustained was so bad, which made him started to blow spinal fluid out of his nose. He added that he tried drinking heavily but it was not enough to immune himself.

"I was at a point where I thought, 'I can't exist like this. I can't actually live.' I was lying in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm, unable to move, having these headaches where it feels like you're having a stroke, and for a short three-week period, I started to think, 'I may have to do something drastic about this'... but I never thought I'd get there. See, I was in a place where I was trying to figure out how to survive."

Diagnosis on Clooney was a torn dura mater. Dura mater is a membrane covering the spinal cord. Severe headaches and spinal fluid leaks are some of its symptoms.
