As previously reported, Britney broke up with her boyfriend David Lucado after allegedly finding out he was cheating on her. Lucado was said to have been filmed while kissing and making out with a woman in what seems to be someone's living room. A rep for Britney said that "She is heartbroken. She is in Vegas. A rep for Jamie Spears, a.k.a Britney's dad, tells sources that upon finding out that a video of his daughter's then boyfriend exists, Jamie immediately contacted the party who was selling it, and brought it without any question-for a significant amount, as reported. Daddy Spears was obviously determined to get a hold of that tape.
After purchasing the tape, he then called his daughter and told her he had something extremely important to show her. Jamie warned Britney and at the same time, obviously took the opportunity to finally get rid of David, as it's been speculated that Daddy Spears never liked Lucado. And was just finding an opportunity to get him out of his daughter's life. After seeing the video, Britney didn't need to see or hear any explanation from David, and she instantly threw him to the gutter.
A rep of Jamie Spears said that the father of the pop star bought the video tape for the purpose of protecting his daughter, and to save her from the embarrassment of the tape going public. They say the video is under extreme lock out from the public and will never see the light of day. Unless Jamie chooses to release it for public, which is very unlikely, considering his reason for buying it in the first place.
However, sources say that they are not sure whether the woman David Lucado was allegedly cheating Britney with made another copy, since she was the one who shot the video secretly. But Daddy Spears' rep tells source that if indeed the woman made another copy and decidedly sold it for the public to see, they are definitely going to sue for copyright infringement.
