Latest Britney Spears news suggest that she can now put her hands up as she sings Beyonce's "Single Ladies".
Spears and boyfriend David Lucado have called it quits, according to sources.
Rumors of the break-up were in the air for the past week as the 32-year-old hit maker has again snatched the scene, "tweeting" her 2 million followers Thursday about "single life."
Spears tweeted: "Ahhhh the single life!" supposedly affirming the split up with lawyer Lucado.
The tweet was followed by an Instagram video with a caption "When you're having a shitty day..."
The reason of the breakup is still unconfirmed, but there are reports from various sources that it is mainly about the alleged scandal involving Lucado making out with another woman.
TMZ reported that there is a video that has surfaced some weeks ago.
The unreleased video was allegedly purchased by none other than Britney's father Jamie, in order to protect his daughter. Jamie secured that the video would not see the light of the world.
A spokesperson for Spears validated the diva's current relationship status, saying "Yes, she's single."
Spears and Lucado had been together for 18 months.
Spears, a mother of two from her previous marriage with Kevin Federline, once told "Entertainment Tonight" how she adores Lucado: "He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about and it's contagious."
E! News' source supported the rumor: "She is heartbroken. She is in Vegas. But she will get through it. She's a strong girl and he was never right for her."
Before her love affair with Lucado, who is also a bartender, Spears was engaged with Jason Trawick but broke up, as Spears wanted to have more children but Trawick was resistant of the idea.
The Mickey Mouse Club alumna was also married to Jason Alexander. The marriage lasted only 55 days.
