According to reports, Joan Rivers is still under observation as her condition remains critical. She is currently in the Mount Sinai Hospital's Intensive Care Unit and is receiving the best possible treatment from her Doctors and the best care from their Nurses.
Her Daughter, Melissa recently released a statement where she thanked all of Joan's supporters and all of Hollywood for their support and prayers. She was reported to have reached out and asked everyone to continue, if not start, prayers for the recovery of her Mother.
It was previously reported that Joan Rivers was rushed to a hospital in New York City after she ceased breathing during a scheduled throat surgery. During procedure, however, Rivers reportedly stopped breathing suddenly, and surgeons panicked. Reports say that an emergency call to 911 was placed at around 9:39 in the morning, where the caller said, ""We have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest." - meaning at one point, Joan's heart actually stopped beating.
Rivers was taken from Yorkville Endoscopy, where she was undergoing her procedure, to Mount Sinai hospital, during which she was under cardiac arrest.
It is still unclear whether the state of the 81-year old comedian is even possible to get out of. Spectators have said that her respiratory and cardiac arrest is probably due to the fact that the entertainer has undergone too many surgeries on her body, most notably her face, which caused her lungs and heart to weaken over a period of time. And this time, it finally took it's toll.
As previously written, Rivers is the host of an online talk show on YouTube with her daughter, Melissa called In Bed With Joan, and is E!'s Fashion Police host, where her blunt commentaries have always brought life to the set. She has also just finished filming of another series with her daughter called: Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best? Her website also previously posted that she is about to go on a UK tour of stand-up comedy titled: "Before They Close The Lid." It is set to begin on October 10 starting in Oxford, and is reported to go to 13 venues all around the country.
