Finding Carter Season 2 Premiere Date: MTV Renews Teen Drama Series For Season 2; Show Ranks Number 1 Among Teenagers

Only months after first season premier, "Finding Carter" Season 2 has been given a go signal by MTV. The current season slated to air its last episode by mid-September 2014, fans clamoring for more of Carter's story is reflected in the show's renewal for the second season.

According to TV Line, since the airing of the series in July, "Finding Carter" ranks No. 1 among teenagers, specifically in the 12-34 year old age brackets. As a result, there have been 2.2 million viewers on average.

"Finding Carter" is a teenage coming-of-age drama series aired on MTV. The story centers on the character Carter Stevens/Lyndon Wilson, played by actor Kathryn Prescott.

Known for her work in the UK television series "Skins" as Emily Fitch, Emily first appeared in the soap opera "Doctors" in 2008. She is a twin, with a sister named Megan who appeared with her in the soap. Kat Prescott has since been appearing in films and television projects, as well as in a music video as a zombie in the "Love Bites" song by the artist the Midnight Beast in 2013.

"Finding Carter" is the story of a young girl with a seemingly ordinary life. It is until she finds out that her mother is actually her abductor at the age of 3 that she experiences challenges in her life.

After the police discover the mother, Lori, played by Milena Govich, Carter is taken back to her biological family. There she learns that her biological mother is a detective in the Fairfax police department, and that the latter is planning to avenge her daughter's kidnapping by finding Lori.

Carter, on the other hand, is not at home with her new-old family, and decides that she will return to her mother/abductor in time.

Although a release date has yet to be announced, it is speculated that the "Finding Carter" Season 2 premieree date will likely be around the time of the first release of the first season; sometime around July of next year.
