Brad and Angelina have officially tied the knot!
After multiple sources confirmed, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have indeed said both their long-awaited I Do's. The couple married in France at a low-key wedding held at the Chateau Miraval in Correns village last Saturday. This venue was apparently where the couple had settled in back in 2008, already performing numerous renovations with the place. The estate has a main house having 35 rooms, a chapel, and a very overwhelming vineyard spread of over 1,100 acres.
After being in a relationship together for nine years and having six children together (Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6), the couple finally decided to follow up their engagement, which happened last 2012.
According to a source, Jolie had this to say when asked about their marriage plans:
"We're just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right. We talk about it occasionally, and the kids talk about it with us. Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding. They will in a way be the wedding planners. It's going to be Disney or paintball - one or the other! We've got a lot of different personalities in the house. They've got some strong opinions. It will be fun. That's the important thing. When we do it, it will feel like a great day for our family."
Considering that the "Tomb Raider" star had recently undergone an extensive double mastectomy, Brad and Angelina seem to be very much happy with their lives as individuals and as a couple.
"We've been through so much," she said in another interview. "We've gotten a lot closer, which I think naturally happens with raising a family together."
Even with very busy schedules, requiring both of them to travel to opposite ends of the world separately, the couple still manages to keep their communication with each other strong, even writing love letters.
"We decided to be of that time, when we could imagine he was in the European theater and I was in the Pacific theater and we wrote handwritten letters to each other that were very connecting for us, thinking of the people that were separated for months, if not years, at a time back then."
Despite all the break-up rumors that surrounded the couple for what seemed to be forever, fans are surely glad with this development in their relationship. Let's hope they keep things old-fashioned and not get divorced in the future!
