With the iPhone 6 coming in September, many are wondering how the Galaxy S6 will fare against Apple's newest smartphone. While the S6 isn't expected to launch until next year, its bound to happen that the two will stack up against each other.
A rumor around the web is that Samsung will finally be building this new handset in aluminum. Expected to be thinner than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will also be water and dust proof, using a new technology that is expected to prevent overheating. It will also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, one of the best in the market.
Samsung devices have always been known for their large displays, but it isn't likely that they'll increase the size for the S6. However, it is rumored that the S6 will have a screen resolution of 4K 3,840x2,160, as Samsung claimed to be launched in 2015. Although Samsung didn't particularly say that they were pertaining to the S6, many tech geeks are anticipating the statement to be in fact, specs from the highly anticipated version of the Galaxy S series. Aside from this resolution, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 will also feature wireless charging and possibly a curved or flexed glass screen.
Other reports claim that the new model will boast a 30 mega pixel rear camera, it will be one of the biggest in the market if it eventually happens. The new model will also include a set of stereo speakers fixed at the sides.
On the inside, it looks certain that the new model will be launching with Android 5 L operating system from Google, with a 3500mAh battery (longer life span than the previous version), CMOS sensors, fingerprint scanner, 5G, and either a 128GB or 256GB internal storage.
As for the release date, there have been numerous rumors of this, but there is still no definite date coming from Samsung itself. Fans, however are still hopeful and are expecting to see the actual unit by March 2015.
