Slipknot New Drummer: Still Unknown As The Group Releases Another Single, ‘Devil In I’ Audio Available!

| By

Chris Adler, rumored replacement drummer for Slipknot recently has cleared a few things, publicly announcing that he has no business with the "Iowa" group or participation on the new album.

He shed light on the topic on the drummer's official Facebook page:

"I've received even more questions about my involvement with Slipknot since the ABC interview I did recently. The interview was originally about my new whiskey bar, but of course took a turn into the gossip of the day. As I told her, I've had and have nothing to do with it. I'm flattered with the association and comparisons, but I have no involvement in their record."

Slipknot's frontman Corey Taylor has kept mum on information on the new drummer, but has revealed a few details on their upcoming fifth album. In an interview, Taylor talks about the loss of deceased bassist Paul Gray, the departure of former drummer Joey Jordison and the current state of the band

"We were just knocked senseless by the loss of Paul, and then coming to terms with the fact that we had to make a really heavy decision about parting ways with Joe,"

The vocalist also shared "It's just been a hell of a road the past four years, and that's essentially what this album is. There's a lot about Paul, there's a lot about ourselves...it's us basically reconvening and dusting it off and saying, 'Look, we can either die under the weight of this, or we can live and crush everything and come back and be the Slipknot that we know we can be.'"

Now the band has dropped another single, entitled "The Devil And I", following their first "The Negative One" earlier in August. Of course, no word who's playing drums in the new single.
