Betsy Brandt might be the scene stealer at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards. Oops, sorry for the pun. Brandt, who played Marie Schrader, Hank's kleptomaniac wife, has warned the public that she might get very emotional during Breaking Bad's Emmy awards appearance with the ceremony to be held on August 25 at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles.
"I'm going to try and keep a little dignity and not be a huge cry baby, but I'm sure I will be," she admitted when interviewed at Audi's pre-Emmys party at Cecconi's.
"Honestly, win or lose, I'm just so happy that we all get to be here...Being on that show like you already feel like a winner because the show is so amazing."
Well, she has can do anything she wants once that moment comes. This is the last time that we will see a Breaking Bad-Emmy combination. The crime-drama series had a great run its five seasons from 2008 to 2013. In that run, the show had a total of 103 trophies from 260 nominations. Breaking Bad Star Betsy Brandt didn't get any individual awards or nominations but as she said, being part of Breaking is already an achievement and a reason to celebrate.
"I always have people over and have champagne," Brandt continued. "So I have people come over and we all hang out and celebrate. And I think about my first Equity job and how little I made. But I still felt like I won the lottery then and I feel that way now."
For this year, Breaking Bad's Emmy Awards nominations of eight is the second most among all the shows nominated. This is despite the fact that the show ended almost one year ago. It is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Bryan Cranston, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Anna Gunn, Outstanding Supporting Actor for Aaron Paul, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Vince Gilligan in Felina episode, and two Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for Gilligan (Felina) and Moira Walley-Beckett (Ozymandias ).
