The supernatural drama on CW finally returns on screen with the cast tight in finishing the season, and fans around the world eager to see what's next in store for Elena, Stefan, and Damon.
The first episode airing in September 2009, ratings of "The Vampire Diaries" continued to climb as plotlines become more complicated. Vampires and mystical creatures of the night convene in a series created by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the book by L.J.
Actors Nina Dobrev (plays Elena Gilber), Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) and Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) return to the screen with the complete cast members for the sixth season of "The Vampire Diaries" without qualms of contact compared to other shows like "The Big Bang Theory".
Recently, "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 released a promo video that rehashes the "demise" of Damon and Bonnie. The video shows Jeremy and Bonnie grieving for the loss of Damon and Bonnie, while Elena is expressing her pain of losing Damon to Stephan. It will soon be discovered that Elena is able to "see" Damon in a drug-induced vision. This opens up the possibility that Damon and Bonnie aren't really dead dead.
Although "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 spoilers online are but a few, this doesn't indicate the anticipation of its fans. Plec however gives them a wee bit of tease as season will be her directorial debut.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she reveals "It looks like we are going to be able to a crossover in the first half of the season, and I can't tell you what or who or when because it hasn't been shot yet, but things are looking good."
"The Originals," another CW series is a spin-off from "The Vampire Diaries" featuring werewolves.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 6 premiers on October 2, 2014 on CW.
