Foo Fighters Tour 2014: Crowd Funded Show In Richmond, Virginia About To Happen? Show Dates Scheduled For This Year In US

| By

All of Foo Fighters' concert tours in US, UK and South Africa in 2014 have been pre-arranged except for one in Richmond, Virginia. But Foo Fighters see no problem in that. In fact, they even retweeted,

"well, well, well...@foofighters_rva @rvadonuts @browns_vdubs @Crowdtilt See ya soon...let's have a good time.#RVA".

As to where in Richmond, and when in 2014, no one knows yet. But it will definitely happen.

The idea of getting the Foo Fighters to agree to perform in that hazy arrangement came to be when four of their fans led by Andew Goldin started a month-long campaign in March to bring back FF leader David Grohl in Richmond, where the latter grew up. The four made a goal to sell 1,400 tickets at $50 each, or around $70,000. When FF learned about it, they said they would perform.

Clearly, that's what Foo Fighters' 20 solid years in the rock music industry can do. Their solid fan base could make things happen, such as unplanned concert with sold tickets, prior to their knowledge and approval.

Foo Fighters's 2014 concert tour series kicked off in May at Washington D.C. and on June 19 to 22 at Dover, Delaware. Both were, naturally, big hits creating pandemonium in the areas. On September 14, they are scheduled to rock London with their signature, heart-pounding performance. Tickets had been sold out, according to the group's official website.

Then they go Las Vegas, Nevada on October 24 to October 27, 2014, then City Parks, New Orleans, LA on October 31 to November 2. Take some rest then fly to Capetown, South Africa on December 10 and Johannesburg on December 13.

So, doing things unplanned isn't a big deal for Foo Fighters.

In fact, they just partook in the ALS ice bucket challenge sometime last week. Their response to Zac Brown's challenge was ala horror movie, Carrie. David as Carrie, was doused with a bucket, not of blood, but icy water. The activity didn't damage his voice, though.
