As indicated in the late comedian's official death certificate, Williams was cremated with his ashes scattered in the San Francisco Bay last August 12, 2014. This is following his death the day before.
As previously reported, the Oscar winner, star of "Bicentennial Man" died due to asphyxia caused by hanging himself the morning of August 11. According to Lt. Keith Boyd of Marin County, Williams had cut himself with a pocket knife, and had hanged himself with a belt. He further told investigators, "Mr. Williams [was found] clothed in a seated position, unresponsive, and with a belt secured around his neck with the other end of the belt wedged between the closed closet door and door frame,"
Williams' cause of death is still unknown, as it is still presently listed as "pending investigation" according to reports released from Martin County, where he died. The coroner is still on standby for the results of the toxicology tests, to determine if Williams had any chemicals in his body upon his death. Those results will be available in the next few weeks.
Williams' family was reported to have been in town and have attended a very private memorial service in the Bay Area, planned by his widow, Susan Schneider. Not surprisingly, Schneider held a private service since the couple has been known to be very private both in their married life and individually.
Williams and Schneider's kids, Zak, Zelda, and Cody have been reported to be attending regular sessions with a Psychiatrist, to help them cope with their father's sudden death. Zelda Williams is probably the most affected of all his children, having been bullied online by strangers, calling her names and telling her that her dad was selfish for having to resort to suicide following his depression. Zelda has recently deleted her Twitter page to avoid further cyber-bullying.
