| By

Fugitive MMA fighter War Machine formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, has been finally apprehended by authorities at a hotel in Simi Valley, Los Angeles. Koppenhaver, 32, was caught sitting in the hotel room with "pizza and a small amount of cash" police have reported.

Nicolle Blankenship, a guest at the hotel told KTLA news that officers had to use a taser on Koppenhaver:

"And they were like banging on the door, trying to get it open, and they're like, 'Open the door, open the door," Blankenship said. "Finally when they got it open they yelled, 'Gun,' and then all of a sudden you see them shoot him with a Taser. And he got shot with a Taser and he went down to the floor, and then they handcuffed him."

War Machine wen into hiding after an alleged beating on August 8 of former girlfriend Christy Mack. The fighter on his Twitter claimed his innocence, though Mack has posted photos of the extent of her sustained injuries. According to Mack, War Machine AKA Jon Koppenhaver entered her Las Vegas home and forced her to strip, attempted to rape her and broke multiple bones.

She also alleged that Koppenhaver stabbed her several times and that he had beaten her before their relationship ended in May.

On Tuesday, authorities released a warrant of Koppenhaver's arrest, with charges of several counts of battery, assault with a deadly weapon and other crimes.

This isn't the first time the "War Machine's" run in with the law as he was arrested for assault during a San Diego bar fight back in 2010. He ended up getting a one-year jail sentence for that case.

The welterweight fighter's contract with Bellator has also been dropped since the incident.

He is currently being held without bail in Ventura County Jail without bail, while awaiting his transfer to Las Vegas where he will stand before a judge.
