Google Glass Livestream App: New Technology Allows Massive Audience Viewing

| By

Google's new LiveStream App for its Glass Connected Eyewear is the next advancement up from a regular Google Glass video streaming app that is based on the company's hangout setup.

According to VentureBeat, Google introduced the app at the National Association of Broadcasters conference.

"It's been rare that you see the view from someone's head," Phil Worthington, co-founder and chief product officer at Livestream told VentureBeat.

"Hangouts is a one-to-one experience, like Skype, and more like a chat," Worthington told VentureBeat.

Consumers can obtain the app by copying it, and then verbally instructing it to open up so it can be used. A LiveStream is then available for set up when users put the stream to an event, and after signing up for a LiveStream account, followed by selecting Glass on the side of the device Venture Beat reported. This enables a mass audience of a hundred to thousand people at the least.

Users are able to choose events through the connected eyewear's lenses and the related QSR code, which is obtainable non the LiveStream website.

Google Glass music capabilities allows users to look for songs, review playlists, and hear music files in good quality sound with the device on their head Tech Crunch reported.

Google Glass already has many capabilities from game playing to listening to music.

Google launched its own version of headphones specifically made for the connected eyewear at $85 in December reported at the time.

Users can play tennis, a balance game which tests their ability to keep books on their head, clay shooter similar to the infamous duck hunt game, Match which evaluates how well one pairs patches with similar patterns, and Shape Splitter where shapes are broken up information on the blog said.

Google users can also send friend requests to three of their close acquaintances, and listen to music.
