Blackberry BBM Sticker Shop: Improved Images Available For Android, Blackberry, iOS

Consumers can download new stickers on Blackberry's BBM on Android, Blackberry, and iOS systems when the feature comes out Tuesday Blackberry said in a press release.

"Stickers are another great example of how we're making the BBM experience more engaging and fun for our customers," David Proulx, senior director of Blackberry's BBM said in a statement. "Stickers let you personalize your chats and strike the right chord with people around the world who rely on stickers in chats when they connect with colleagues, family, friends, peers and partners."

The technological advances, which are compatible with BBM conversations are expected to come bigger, and stand out more compared to original emoticons

CosCat, Gilbert's Tales, Bubble Bot, Shaun the sheep, and WWE. Consumers will be able to obtain the stickers at no cost or for $1.99 depending on the type with charges coming from the smartphone's app store.

The update also give users the ability to send photos to each in group chat settings via a thumbnail in the chat window, which can then open up to a regular sized photo.

Bigger file capabilities also allow consumers to send better looking photos, videos, and presentations the press release reported. This includes an increase to 16MB, up 10MB.

BBM has been a successful program for Blackberry. It recently hit a record 10 million downloads 24 hours after its release on Android and iPhone smartphones October 21 the company said on its official blog.

Blackberry recently added BBM voice calling, and BBM channel capabilities to Android, iPhone, and Blackberry smartphones allowing consumers with the mobile devices to at use some BBM services on their phones a press release reported Feb. 13.

The app also allows users to locate friends without entering a pin via a new Find a Friend option making the process easier.
