Microsoft Xbox One Reportedly in Good Shape Behind Sony PlayStation 4

Microsoft feels its Xbox One game console is in good standing after competitor Sony PlayStation 4 crept passed it in the vote count for most machines sold.

The company appears to have made great progress in a short amount of time VentureBeat reported.

"In 120 days, we have more [independent] developers working on Xbox One in the ID program than we had lifetime on 360," Phil Harrison, corporate vice president at Microsoft told VentureBeat.

"We want to democratise development as best we can. Clearly, while we're giving out dedicated dev kits to developers, there's a finite supply of those, so we're not able to open the doors completely. But you can see that the quality and depth and variety in the games we're showing here," Harrison told VentureBeat.

"Partnering that with the ID@Xbox program means that I hope we find really culturally relevant local products and experiences coming to our platform. That will really accelerate us," Harrison told VentureBeat.

The Xbox One has an improved kinect sensor, which enables players to operate the device just by talking. Individuals can also connect the console to their satellite television equipment in order to watch TV, and flip back and forth between gaming, and viewing shows USA Today reported. The Xbox 360 can also do the same.

According to the New Straits Times, Microsoft has also enhanced the quality of graphics on its Microsoft Xbox Next Generation game console, improved how gamers play online, and interact with other people in its release at the beginning of the month.

Xbox One will soon be in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland,. Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates Zeenews reported.

Titanfall was released on the same day at the Xbox One game console became equipped with Twitch live stream broadcasting capabilities.
