A baby is ok after venturing out onto a telephone wire while his mom and dad were packing up their apartment in Burbank, Calif., on Sunday, according to ABC television affiliate in Los Angeles KABC.
"The child climbed out of the window and was actually hanging out on to what appeared to be a telephone line or a cable line. They placed the mattress underneath the child, and at that point the child released and fell to the ground," Burbank Police Lt. John Dilibert of the Burbank Police Department told KABC.
The child was reportedly tossing toys out of the window at the same time his parents, Konrad Lightner, and Jessica Lightner were gathering up item for another trip when they saw their child do the unthinkable.
One of the items included a mattress, which Konrad managed to place below the child he could fall on to it instead of the hard surface KABC reported.
"We called 911 and Konrad threw the box spring down trying to break his fall and stood there to catch him," Jennifer told KABC. "It was very surreal afterwards. We were just moving the rest of day and every once in a while we'd look at each other and just be like, 'That happened. That was real," Jennifer told KABC.
"It feels like I watched a TV show, like it didn't happen to me," Lightner told KABC.

The three-year-old was not severely hurt, but was taken to a hospital to be examined.
The Lightners were able to rescue their son just in time from one of their own from an elevator.
