Gamers can use Twitch on Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne video game for the iOS operating system.
Twitch officials introduced the first-ever game to come equipped with the viewing option Monday, a press release reported.
Makers of the game are giving a tutorial about the workings of the new service at the Game Developers Conference at San Francisco's Moscone Center. The event goes on until Friday. This includes an expo from Wednesday until Friday according to information on the event's website.
24-hour live stream throughout the week on Gameloft's Twitch channel. Staff will go through the different ways people can stream the game on the service, conversations with those who made the games, freebies once during a three hour time period, and an opportunity for users to ask and receive answers from Gameloft staff the press reported.
"This first-ever mobile game integration with Twitch opens the door for gamers to broadcast and share game play experiences like never before," Baudouin Corman, VP of Publishing for the Americas at Gameloft said in a statement. "As one of our most popular games, Asphalt 8: Airborne made perfect sense to integrate the Twitch mobile SDK, and we can't wait to see the excitement it brings to our users."
"Live broadcasting represents one of the most important shifts in the way people play games," Matthew DiPietro, VP of Marketing at Twitch said in a statement. "Twitch has quickly found a home on consoles, so by partnering with Gameloft to launch the first streaming-enabled mobile game brings us one step closer to being everywhere that gamers are. Also, by being integrated into Asphalt 8: Airborne, one of the highest rated mobile games, should ensure it resonates with our community," DiPietro said in the statement.
Over 48 million people have downloaded the racing game which allows users to compete against one another the press release reported.
Twitch Live Stream currently works on the iPhone 5S, iPad Air, and iPad Mini with Retina Display, and will become available with the technology's third update.
Users can hear other player's voices, and see their faces on their own smartphone or other device. Users can also archive these interactions, put them on the internet for other people to see, or locate other gaming sessions in the app program.
