Verizon's LG G Pad 8.3 LTE device is expected Thursday.
The mobile company unveiled the news Tuesday following previous rumors according to a press release.
"Tablets have become a key focus for consumers seeking riveting entertainment experiences and a go-to form factor for users who require a larger device that doesn't sacrifice power for portability," Morris Lee, senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing, LG Mobile Communications Company in a statement. "With its big clear display and an easy-to-hold form-factor, the LG G Pad 8.3 LTE on Verizon Wireless is perfect for personal use or entertaining a group of friends, family or colleagues," Lee said in the statement.
Consumers will be able to purchase the device at a $99.99 discount the Droid Report reported. The price won't stay under $100 for long however as it increases to $199.99 four days after the device's release.
A 1.5 gigahertz quad core qualcomm snapdragon 600 processor, two gigabytes of random access memory or RAM, a 16 gigabyte eMMC ROM, a 64 gigabyte, a 5 AMP AF BSO main camera, and 1.3 megapixel front camera according to information on Droid Report.
The device also has Q Pair Apps that connects the device with Android mobile devices enabling users to get notifications when they receive calls, text messages, or look at new information on social networks the press release reported. Consumers can also make and keep messages among the technologies via the program QuickMemo Transfer the press release reported.
The phone runs on an Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system and measures 8.54 inches in height by 4.98 inches in width by 0.35 inches in density on 11.99 ounces, an 8.3 inch full high definition in-plane switching panel with 1920 by 100 pixels of resolution and 273 pixels per inch the Droid Report reported.
