Samsung's Galaxy S4 smartphone is now 31,000 rupees, 10,000 Rs less than its original 41,500 Rs price Times of India reported Saturday.
The significant decrease comes shortly after Samsung's Galaxy S5, with a slide to unlock option was introduced Monday at the Moble World Congress technology conference in Barcelona The New York Times reported.
ShopeClues.com prices the mobile device at 29,199 rupees Times of India reported. Amazon.com, Flipkart, and Snapdeal have it available for 30,000.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the industry's first smartphone camera with a spin-to-focus manual control ring, and point and shoot camera.
"Customers need more and more from their smartphones," Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of Devices, for AT&T said in a statement when the Galaxy S4 was released Nov. 8. "With powerful, best-in-class optical zoom, in addition to easy access to day-to-day functions like email, social media and more, we're able to offer customers," Bradley said in the statement.
