Sleek Moov Fitness Tracker is Your New Personal Coach (VIDEO)

| By

Sometimes you just need a push to get yourself moving. Now, it's time to get a Moov on. A former Apple engineer and two veterans of sensor research at Microsoft have created a wearable fitness tracker that seeks to put others to shame, according to CNET. With its sleek design and amazing capabilities, it may accomplish just that.

While most sleek designs have limited capabilities, Moov can do a lot more. The fitness wearable has all of the same sensors as other fitness trackers, but then takes the data and tells you how you can improve your routine, according to Tech Times. If you want to be a better runner, for example, Moov will analyze the way you move and tell you how to improve your form.

During its initial launch, Moov's co-founder Meng Li explained that Moov was created using real-time data that was collected from athletes and trainers while they were working about, according to Liberty Voice. The device can also monitor speed while checking target heart rate, and can instantly give feedback to increase or decrease speed to an ideal level.

So what activities can Moov monitor? The current version can keep track of cycling, swimming, weight training, running and boxing. An app has also been designed to cater to each of these activities.

The trick behind the device is that it has 3D mapping. This allows the device to understand how your body is moving and allows it to pinpoint what you could be doing better. The device then takes this feedback and lets you know how to fix your errors and, ultimately, have a better workout, according to Tech Times.

Currently, there's no firm release date for Moov, but it's likely to be released sometime this summer. Interested customers can also preorder the device for $59.95 from the Moov website.
