Acer is releasing a new smartphone with a few new features that are sure to make you excited. Last year's Liquid E2 is being replaced by the Acer Liquid E3, an updated Android handset, and the Liquid Z4. Both will make their debuts at next week's Mobile World Congress, according to ITProPortal.
The Acer Liquid E3 features a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, according to AndroidOS. It also has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2.2 and 1GB of Ram. In addition, the smartphone possesses 4GB of internal storage, Wif-fi and microSD card slot.
So how does it stack up against the Z4? The Acer Z4 will have a 4-inch display, dual-core processor and 5MP rear camera. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2, has 4GB of internal storage and also possesses a microSD card slot. Of the two smartphones, the Z4 is the cheaper one, and is more of an entry level smartphone.
Both of the phones will actually be aim at capturing the more wallet-friendly end of the market, according to ITProPortal. The E3 is likely to be pitched to the smartphone photo enthusiast since it has a 13-megapixel rear camera that boasts ultra-fast focusing and good low-light performance.
Currently, both phones are due to be released in April and promise an upgrade to KitKat 4.4. Their debut at the Mobile World Congress this next week may also give consumers a better idea about what to expect upon their release. That said, these phones may face some stiff competition. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also expected to make its debut at the conference. Which phone comes out on top, though, remains to be seen.
