A remote for Microsoft's Xbox One game console could pop up for sale in March.
Internet scrollers noticed a site on Amazon's web page in Canada Thursday where they could order the Xbox One media remote ahead of its March 4 release date Engadget reported Thursday. Posts were also made to user produced website Reddit, and on Google as an archive.
The page had a remote with the XBox gaming system's infamous "X" logo in the top front, along with multiple buttons, but appeared to be removed shortly after it was discovered CNET reported.
The information reportedly indicated consumers would be able to purchase the remote separately from the game console for $24.99 in canadian currency or $22.69 in United States currency beginning March 4, Engadget reported.
"We are always thinking about what is next for our platform, but don't have anything to share at this time, a spokesperson at Microsoft told Joystiq.
The Xbox One has an improved kinect sensor, which enables players to operate the device just by talking. Individuals can also connect the console to their satellite television equipment in order to watch TV, and flip back and forth between gaming, and viewing shows USA Today reported. The Xbox 360 can also do the same.
The game console is the company's latest release since it launched its Xbox 360 in 2005, and follows Sony's PlayStation 4 game console a week prior Nov. 22.
PlayStation 4 has eight x86 CPU-codes titled Jaguar, and is manufactured from Advanced Micro Devices according to Network World. It also comes equipped with upgraded graphics co-processors capable of handling 1.84 teraflops of performance according to information from Tech Hive.
Both game consoles were hard to come by during the past holiday shopping season with many consumers having to go around to different stores to see if they had the machine in stock CNN reported.
