Last night, troopers issued an Amber Alert for two children taken from a home in Lancaster County in southern Pennsylvania. Now, the alert has been cancelled, according to WNEP.com.
The two children were abducted at gunpoint last night around 7:30 p.m. after an altercation, according to Seattlepi.com. Three-year-old Erielys Ahorrio and her brother, 4-year-old John Ahorrio, were safely found in Philadelphia this morning, according to Philly.com. The suspects are now in custody, according to Lancaster City police.
Reports currently state that the children's father, 23-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Jr. and his father, 47-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Sr., were the ones who abducted the children last night. They then fled in a black Nissan Altima with the Pennsylvania license plate, JJG-81470. The car was later stopped in connection with the Amber Alert around 8 a.m., according to police. Troopers believe that the two men had planned to head toward Massachusetts, according to WNEP.com. Yet later, they announced that the vehicle was probably returning to the commonwealth from New Jersey, according to Seattlepi.com.
After the car was stopped near Route 1 and the Schuylkill Expressway this morning, the Amber Alert was cancelled. Now, the two children have been recovered and the two men are in custody.
