Could Bandai Namco finally announce the release date of "Tekken X Street Fighter" soon?
While the giant gaming studio has yet to provide concrete details, Uber Gizmo is confident that "Tekken X Street Fighter" will most likely hit the shelves sometime in 2016.
Katsuhiro Harada claimed that the planning and development are still in the early stages, but he did tell Famitsu that Bandai Namco has already decided who will be included in the game's lineup.
"I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," Harada of "Tekken X Street Fighter" release date. "It might seem like we haven't started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago and we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."
Harada was supposed to set the release date of "Tekken X Street Fighter" earlier, but for some reason, which he did not disclose, the development to the highly anticipated game has to be moved.
"It's very difficult to talk about," he said of the game's release date. "Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at."
While fans may have been disappointed with the delay, Harada did promise that to give "some kind of surprise" for avid followers of "Tekken X Street Fighter."
"People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise."
"Tekken 7" and "Street Fighter 5" on the other hand are both expected to arrive in new generation consoles and PC soon.
